The terms that apply to Loch Security products and services.
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to the products, quotes, installations, and services provided by Loch Security Inc. By requesting a quote, placing an order, or using our website, you agree to these terms. They are written in plain language; if anything is unclear, just ask.
Quotes are estimates based on the information available at the time and are typically valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Final pricing may change if the scope of work, site conditions, or equipment availability differ from what was quoted. Prices are in Canadian dollars and, unless noted, do not include GST. GST (5%) is added where applicable; there is no provincial sales tax in Alberta.
When you purchase equipment outright (such as an Ajax system), you own that equipment once it is paid in full. Professional monitoring, where you choose it, is a separate optional service with no long-term contract required — you may start or stop it on the terms set out in your monitoring agreement. Leased or financed equipment (such as a monitored Alarm.com package) is governed by the separate agreement for that program.
We schedule installations by mutual agreement and aim to complete the work as quoted. You agree to provide safe access to the property and to point out any hidden wiring, plumbing, or hazards you're aware of. Some sites require additional work that only becomes apparent on site; we'll discuss any change in scope or cost with you before proceeding.
Payment terms are set out on your quote or invoice. Invoices are due by the date shown. Overdue amounts may be subject to a reasonable late charge. Title to purchased equipment passes to you on full payment.
Equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty. We stand behind our installation workmanship. Warranty does not cover damage from misuse, alteration, accident, power surges, or events beyond our control. Contact us and we'll help you resolve any issue.
No alarm or security system can guarantee against loss, injury, or crime — they are tools that reduce risk and aid response. To the extent permitted by law, Loch Security's liability is limited to the value of the services provided, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
